Artist talk and film screening
Crown Street Art Gallery, Crown Street Library, Darlington
Saturday 14th March, 6-8pm

Join the blimey! collective to hear from the artists themselves about the blimey! Lucretia project and how the experience has shaped their collective and individual creative practice. There will also be a film screening of the project film, which documented the Piercing Lucretia events where people were invited to take a seat at Lucretia’s table to create their own response to the work.

Places are free for this drop in event, no need to book.

Online Series
www.blimeycollective.co.uk/onlineseries

In a thought provoking series of talks, performance, film, discussion and participatory workshops, this online series focuses on the themes of the blimey! Lucretia project: representation and engagement.

How might we think about Guido Reno’s ‘Death of Lucretia’ in the post #metoo era? What is our relationship to art in the museum setting? How do we create new spaces in which to open up fresh ideas about representation and engagement?
